Fishing Excursions
Not everyone loves to do thrill-seeking activities. Some people love gentle outdoor pursuits like fishing. A well-organized fishing trip could be an amazing stress buster.
Whether you like fishing in rivers, lakes, or deep sea ocean, these fishing destinations are worth giving a shot:
- The USA—The United States has some fantastic destinations if you are looking for some boundary-pushing fishing vacations. The city of Ketchikan in Alaska is a haven for fishing enthusiasts for its breathtaking natural beauty and abundance of wild salmon. There are many fishing charter companies that offer various types of packages.
Go to the Waikiki in Hawaii for deep-sea fishing and you can catch tuna, mahi-mahi, or even blue marlin if you are extremely lucky. Miami in Florida is another good sea fishing destination where you can spot alligators and turtles while fishing. Some other famous spots are Galveston in Texas, Plymouth in Massachusetts, New York’s Montauk, and South Carolina’s Charleston. - New Zealand—If the USA offers great fishing destinations, New Zealand could be called the mecca for the anglers. Fishing is a popular sport and pastime there and the tours are tailored to all skills and age levels of the anglers—the advantage of having over 15,000 kilometers of coastline.
The big game season is from December to June. Plan a trip to Tauranga or Tutukaka during that time and you might be lucky enough to catch a huge yellowfin tuna, marlin, or kingfish. Some of the best fishing destinations are West Coast, Central Plateau, Otago, Fiordland, and the Coromandel Peninsula.
